'Welcome to what we hope is our annual exhibition'

INTRODUCING the Museum's Business Development Manager, Angela Graham, John Kay said: "Welcome to everyone to what we hope is now our annual exhibition. We have this superb room (the Millennium Gallery) which is available and is a big benefit to the community. It’s nice to see that we are able to use it. We really appreciate the assistance of the Museum and it’s nice to see pictures of a high standard in a really good exhibition.

"I’d like to thank all our members who have worked hard on putting prints and projected images into the show. Particularly to Paul Topham and David Hoyle who have done all the real hard work getting things organised.

Angela Graham said: "We are really pleased to have this exhibition here. It’s a win-win situation because hopefully you get a nice venue to show your work and we get the opportunity to have this fantastic array of photographs that the public really enjoy. We know that because of the comments we get. I have been looking through the visitors’ book and there was a comment there that someone had been inspired by a previous exhibition to join the club.

"This is the work of 27 members and it is all contemporary, recent work. We have enjoyed coming into the gallery as the exhibition went up and seeing the pictures. Every time you came in you noticed a different picture. A different face staring out from the wall at you.

"I am sure the public will find that, too. We have lots of repeat visitors. People will come over the next three months."
