  Photo Gallery . . . at a Victorian Christmas

All dressed up for the occasion

MUSEUM personnel dressed for the occasion to welcome visitors to the Museum's Victorian event on December 17, 2011. Pictured are Mike Langley (Volunteer), Fiona Swain (Administration), Angela Graham (Business Manager), Kate Dobson (Community Learning Officer), Linda Beardsell (Volunteer and member of the Arts and Craft Group) and Molly Stone (Board of Management).

We held a children's workshop with a Christmas theme and despite the bad weather, 111 people called in to the Museum during the day.

foyer

HERE'S the Museum foyer as you've never seen it before. Gone are the posters advertising future events and a range of museum items on display. In their place, for the festive season in 2011, we created the impression of a Victorian room complete with fireplace and a Christmas tree. Note the Victorian toys at the foot of the tree.
