These buildings in High Street,
Nantwich, were demolished in 1872. They stood on what is now The Square,
in front of St Mary's Parish Church. The Butter Market - on the spot where
the two horsemen are standing - had already been demolished in 1868. The
buildings on the left are now shops facing the church. They can be clearly
seen in a photograph of the area from the early 1860s.
